 Paul was admitted as a Solicitor in 1980. He became an Accredited Specialist in Business Law in 1994. Paul has acted in a varied range of significant commercial transactions (both at domestic and international level), property development and construction, intellectual property and technology matters. He has also acted for a number of major trading corporations in the range of legal issues which confront them including corporate governance matters, trade practices, intellectual property and franchising. |
The matters Paul has handled include:
- Business mergers and acquisitions;
- Complex corporate working capital and trade finance matters as well as structured development finance deals;
- Commercial and industrial property developments from site acquisition and development finance through to construction, commercial leasing and disposal;
- Drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts;
- Capital raisings including acting on prospectuses for listed corporations; and
- Drafting software licensing, value added reseller and distributor agreements for I.T. vendors and advising on I.T. intellectual property issues.

| Paul also has a keen technology interest. He was the architect of the www.lawportal.com.au website which was built by the firm and is a gateway to free to air Australian legal information on the web. He is also the driving force behind Secure Deal eXchange which is a web based multi party legal transaction management system and is believed to be the first of its kind in the world. |
